Today’s practice: 5/12/22
Was supposed to wake up at 5am and go running but i failed. Instead I did a bunch of jumping rope throughout the afternoon. Short sets of high intensity but not all out. Focusing on forefoot strike and but kicking, like i would be with proper running form. Did some leaning in and forward motion with it as well.

Hurdle raises 3x5 @20#
Complex of 4 DFS, 4 DSN X 16, @16/16k
Diggin this program, I feel explosive and powerful. Squat form is improving already, feel more stable and cadence is up.

My two youngest have covid (aka runny noses) so they are home from school. Took em to a forest preserve and did a 2 mile walk and played in the river.

Today’s practice: 5/17/22
Still stuck at home with the kiddos, but making it work.
Morning mobility
3 mile run to park 135 avg hr
1 mile walk with the kiddos
3 mile run home 141 avg hr
Focusing on HR and form, cadence is suffering due to that.
Had to bust out my good ol double stroller. Thought I was done with that thing…kids had fun though.

WU ; arch strengthening/stretching, hangs, chin-ups, hurdle raises, BU getups (these are getting much better, left is still lagging a bit).

I found the updated version of YDKS 2.0 in MKBM, think I will run that after this 6 week block. Tempting to just jump right over to it, but I will finish what I started and not pounce on the shiny new object. Focusing on getting my nutrition and body comp back in line. I wavered during easter and have slowly been getting back, but I am starting to be very focused and disciplined on it. I think I was substituting my old late night toking habit(clean for almost two months now) with late night snacking. Made my way back up to 228 after getting down to 215. Making progress, weighed in at 220 today.
 
Today’s Practice: 5/19/22 eldest’ birthday
5 mile run (only the single stroller this time, down to one covid kid) picked up the pace and hr on this one, cadence does not translate when switching hands on the stroller.

Gtg chin ups throughout the afternoon. Made chocolate frogs and wands for the Harry Potter themed Bday in between sets

Today’s practice: 5/20/22

Warm up outside while the covid kid plays, yoga/mobility/arch strengthening routine, with a sweep the walk/yard finisher.
Inside WU of pull-ups, hack squats, hurdle raises, arm bar, BU TGU, and hip stretch with kb overhead. Sounds like a lot but i have this wu dialed in pretty well.
Complex of 5 DFS and DSN X 10 @ 16/16k
Despite this being a “squat” focused program it’s always my upper body that’s feeling tired/worked.
