When I was following the Stronglifts protocol, Bench/Military Press/Bent Over Rows/Squats/Deadlifts, I wore the Vibram Five Finger shoes. I tried different shoes, minimalist shoes, regular sneakers, and cross training shoes, none of which felt as comfortable to me as the Vibrams. I have even tried them in S&S, and they felt just fine when I did my get ups. Like @Steve Freides says, YMMV....
Adidas Powerlifter Trainer 2 is my choice - slightly lower hill than traditional weightlifting shoes, more flexible outsole and body, I use those also for BP.
