Nutrition My Metabolism hasn't slowed?

Still not read the actual paper but it did generate a fair amount of publicity, so I've only read bits and bobs from a variety of publications. It seems, if reported correctly that is and I've interpreted those reports correctly too, that the data was adjusted for size, weight and gender to reveal 4 distinct changes to metabolism across a lifespan.
So, only presuming from that if indeed that is the case, that there would be individual variation just that a change occurs at 60 across a population.
The use it or lose it still applies!!
 
I'm not sure of the whys and whats...but I just turned 60 and can say without qualification that I cannot eat like I used to without adding fat.
That being said, I have not lost much strength over the past decade or two, but then again I quit pursuing PRs years ago. Testing myself with Sinister every quarter is as close as I get.
