Barbell New to the forum, but not to lifting.

Going to back it down a bit. Some of those lifts I can barely make 3 X 5. If 5 X 5, 2 X 5, 3 X 5 is the way to go, I'll need to make sure I can do all of it.

@TimothyMayer , If you could post some video of your workout. You shouldn’t be having the pains your experiencing. In my experience, this can be attributed to poor form and or too heavy a weight. I don’t think it’s the weight, in fact the weights your using are fairly light. Btw, I am a 62 year old male also and to give you perspective, my 5x5 weights are:
Squat 315
Deadlift 405 (1x5)
Bench 240
OHP 155
I have been at these weights for a while, just because I don’t compete and my goal is to just maintain. I do these exercises 3 days a week.
 
Finally, the gym has, once again, reopened. This is what I managed to do the last two weeks:

Deadlift
5 X 5 110#
Squat
5 X 5 130#
Military Press
5 X 5 60#

1/6/21
Squat
2 X 5 110#
Deadlift
2 X 5 130#
Bench Press
2 X 5 90#

1/9/21
Deadlift
3 X 5 130#
Squat
3 X 5 110#
Military Press
2 X 5 60#

1/12/21
Deadlift
3 X 5 130#
Squat
3 X 5 110#
Bench Press
3 X 5 90#

1/14/21
Deadlift
2 X 5 130#
Squat
2 X 5 110#
Military Press
2 X 5 60#

1/16/21
Deadlift
3 X 5 130#
Squat
3 X 5 110#
Bench Press
3 X 5 90#

Probably going to increase the squat to 140# next week.
Hopefully, the @#@!! gym will stay open. Depends on how the state fairs in the pandemic.

Well, Consistency is the key. Just keep plugging away and increasing the weight slowly but surely and you will be good. I have my own home gym so I'm not at the mercy of random closings.
