Was in Paris, less than a month ago. It was/is a marvel to witness. Despite the horrible affair, it seems the destruction was not total, as the two towers still stand. A lot of the interior artifacts were preserved by a brave clergyman, and most of the damage was to the wooden support beams, though the iconic spire has fallen. I know France will do everything to restore her to the best of their abilities. IMG_2272.JPG
 
It's one of the few times I think the word tragic applies. An 850 year old building that that endured countless periods of war and strife to include two recent world wars in that direct area during World War I and II. While it will never be the same I really do hope that there is the ability to re-build.
