Other/Mixed Oly Shoes in FSQ for DL start assistance ?

If you are front squatting a barbell to help your barbell conventional deadlift start, would you choose no/flat shoes, or Olympic lifting shoes?

My vote goes to Oly shoes because it shifts more of the load to the front and that helps a DL start.

Yes I agree.

As a comparison. I like using the safety squat bar to train. When I push up on the handle, it makes the lift easier. If I pull the handles downward, this lift becomes very hard and it is difficult to resist falling forward. I believe that this elicits a better training effect for the 2 powerlifts. I believe your front squat example is similar.

I know this is likely a very individual thing.
