After working with the kettle bell, dumbbell and barbell on the One Arm Snatch I've come to believe that the barbell is the superior tool for me personally on this lift. I've been working slowly and steadily with it for the past 2 months and it gets better and better. I've worked on it for short periods in the past when I was much younger and progressed really fast on it. I never worked on it for more than 3 or 4 weeks though.
Today I performed 2 sets left and right for 15 reps for a total of 60 reps with 85lbs. I felt worked all over and everything felt great after I was finished. No sore wrists, elbows, or any thing else. Just good muscle work.
My goal for this year is 100lbs for 2 sets of 15 on each arm. I could probably come close to doing now, but there is no need to rush. I'm just going to enjoy getting stronger and in better condition without taking a beating.
