Heading off on what's turned out to be a long solo drive tomorrow. Anyone have any particular podcasts they love?

I like Scott Iardella's podcast, so I'm open to other nerdy fitness type ones, but anything engaging for a long drive sounds good. :)

I'm always entertained by Car Talk. It's in reruns since Tommy passed away awhile ago but its still entertaining.

The Art of Manliness Podcast has some good episodes. It's actually the podcast that lead me to Strongfirst.

The Daily Tech News Show with Tom Merritt. Good tech news overview and discussion if you are into that kind of stuff.

Stuff You Should Know Podcast. The hosts, Josh and Chuck, are fairly entertaining and do quite a bit of research on the topic of the podcast.

RDella Training (which you already have) -- that will keep you busy for a while!
Leo Training -- lots of great kettlebell-related stuff!! And familiar names for those of us here.
Elite HRV - to learn more about HRV and related health issues
And these I selected, but haven't actually listened to yet: The Model Health Show, TedTalks Health, and Ben Greenfield Fitness.
And of course, Tim Ferris.

Also if you're not using iTunes, I highly recommend an app called Pocket Casts, available in the Google Play store. Easy to add podcasts, download them, navigate them, etc. It's great!

Pavel and Christopher Sommer as guests on Tim Ferris. Haven't heard any of his other podcasts but those are the best strength training related interviews I've listened to over the last 2 years or so. The Sommer interview is in 2 bits, so you'll have 3 hours worth there. Chuck a kb in the boot and blast out 50 swings every 30 minutes, to keep the theme going.
The funniest, sharpest comedy in the world is The News Quiz, a long running BBC political satire of the week's news. Recent episodes are downloadable but not sure about that if you are not in the uk.
And staying with the BBC , a long running interview series Desert Island discs will never be bettered. Fascinating guests from all walks of life. My favourite ones.....and they will make you cry, they will make you stop what you are doing and be mesmerised is Commander Chris Hadfield, the tweeting space oddity astronaut and David Nott, a specialist trauma surgeon who takes unpaid leave and goes off to war zones to offer his expertise, most recently in Aleppo, Syria. You will need to pull your car over. Your journey time may increase. If there is one interview you should do your utmost to get by any means you can it is this one.

Just a sidenote, Commander Hadfield wrote an amazing book about his astronaut career and stuff. Did you know that after spending some time in microgravity ISS, they need medical clearance for driving a car by themselves on Earth; one it takes them like several weeks/months because of issues with their back/neck/vertebrae/spinal fluid/dizziness.
Not to mention the chapter about the famous song.

Tim Ferris' podcasts with Pavel and Coach Sommer are the best podcasts I have ever heard. Probably a dozen times already. The info is pure gold.

Pretty sure it was Tim's podcast where I heard Pavel say something like "when in doubt, train your grip and your core"

That has stuck with me and forever will.

Worthy of mention is the program Fresh Air on public radio here in the US. Wonderful interviews by host Terry Gross.

Totally agree with Tim Ferriss's with Pavel and Coach Sommer (and all of them)

Jocko Podcast - love it. If you are not interested in military stories or stuff, you may want to skip the ones with guests or when he discusses a particular book. Good lessons in those, however for the me the real gold is the "listener emails" podcasts where he answers questions about leadership and whatnot. Learn so much.

Joe Rogan has some good strength/health guests. Rhonda Patrick's recent episode immediately comes to mind.

Tim Ferris
Joe Rogan Experience(love the ones with Rhonda Patrick, Wif Hoff, as well as many others)
Strength Matters
Onnit
Live Life Aggressively(Mike Mahler and Sincere Hogan)

Dan Carlin has some great content.
Agreed hardcore history is amazing. The series on the mongols and the one one the Russian front of world war 2 are my standard candles. Meaning no matter how bad it gets. It's really really nice compared to that!

Motivation and Muscle is a great podcast. Less nerdy and more motivational.

I like Joe Defranco's podcast as well.

Nothing to do with fitness: do yourself a favor and dig into Welcome to Nightvale. Fictional, funny poinient, poems original music. Nothing else like it.
