Training On Lentils

Miguel, pretty much as you described it. When doing C&Ps you can get away with not-so tensed lowering of the bell from lockout because after re-cleaning
you'll "re-store the tension" anyway. Doing MPs with heavy bell, I have to be tensed the whole time.

A note: Did not do goblet squats in ages but they were really easy (planned to only do 3x5 reps!) so
again (as I did in a case of TGUs) I have to ''blame" C&Ps for a great carryover here. ROP rules.

BU cleans w/ 32 kg, singles, doubles, triples. Total ~20 reps per arm.
Then, I one arm-pressed 24 kg+16kg with both arms.
After that, I tried 32kg+16kg. It actually went up using right hand (and not left).
I could not have believe it, waited for 15 mins and did it again.

As many deadlifts 32kg+24kg in 5 mins as possible, switching hands every 10 reps.
Wanted 100 reps but only managed 73 reps, lungs gave up first.

S&S seems to be all the rage nowadays so I tought I might try it.
I know that I cannot hit the simple goal right now so I decided to try
t<16 mins goal with 24 kg bell.

Result: Total t was just seconds shy of 13 mins, with 100 swing
in 5 mins and 10 GU in almost 7 mins after 1 min of rest.

I was mostly afraid of my lungs during swings and while I was
gassed it was not as bad. But the get ups after those swings
(and yesterdays MPs!) got my shoulders burning in last sets.
My secret thought is that once I'll be in advanced stages of ROP
with 40 kg bell (as I am with 32 now) I'll hit the simple goal.

A note: Done! All the ladders took me nearly one and half hour.
On Wednesday or Thursday I'll be back with results from test day.
Also, instead of giving myself a cookie, I ordered 40 kg bell that will
come during next week.

My wife told me today that I am starting to resemble a bouncer.
This is perhaps the best compliment one can get following the
strength training program.

I made some tests today: Pressed 40 kg x 3 with both hands in a manner of two stacked bells, 24kg+16kg.
For your amusement, here's an attempt to do the same with 32kg+16kg.



I wouldn't really call it military press, but at least I got it overhead.

While waiting for 40 kg bell I am doing oasw and GUs.
 
The name of this thread, ETK-ROP, is no longer exact description of what I am doing.
This week I started S&S w/ 32 kg bell and lower volume: 3x10 oasw per hand and 3x1 GU per hand, daily.

I intend to follow S&S through the summer when no more structured programming is possible. Let me see how far I'll get.
