Training On Lentils

24.7.2016 "free" day training
Backpack carry/rucking
19 kg/41lbs, time ~1 hour, distance ~5km
Nice sweat.
 
25.7. 2016 light
5x1 mp, 32 kg
2hsw 40 kg, 3 min, 15 reps

-Ideal for shaking off soreness from the whole last week.
-Also 2hsw with 40 kg bell became really powerfull, almost ending up overhead.
 
26.7. 2016 variety
snatch, 32 kg, 5 reps EMOM for 20 min
A note: According to the log I did the same 17.5.2016 and was only able to sustain for 12 mins.
Happy with this progress.

A note: Did all the presses including the cleans seated in a chair. Expected it to be harder but really was not.

Holiday next week and that means no kettlebells.
Will have to improvise.

Back in training. Although had no access to kettlebells did lot
of carries (sitting-on-dad's-neck style) with my lazy 5 years old son over last ten days.

A note: Continue with 3rd week. Presses lighter than usually, did not lose any strength. And that's a good thing! Moreover this week and a half of hiking and "rucking" did some good to
my cardio. Was hardly out of breath after swings where I used to resemble a steamroller.

Just for non-training day fun I tried one of the complexes from Pavel's Fast Tens program
with pair of 24s and less than 2 mins of rest between all sets:
C&P 2x(5,10)
snatch+fsq 2x10

You put 48 kg overhead 50 times in about 15 minutes time which is pretty telling.
 
For a change of pace I'll run at least 6 weeks of ETK Plus and see what it does for my overhead strength.
Why? Because it features even more overhead work than normal ETK, haha.
There are grinds like c&p and mp but also push presses and jerks, both singles and doubles.
