Training On Lentils

10L is perfect IMO.

I started with 20L batches from extract but moved to all-grain brew-in-a-bag 10L batches and stay there. Smaller batches are easier to make and drink, giving me more options. And if something go wrong it's not a big problem :)

@masa, @damogari I'll se how the rest of my family will respond to
my beer suggestions. They sometimes have a problem with the smell that
my homemade sauerkraut or pickles produce during the fermentation.
Not sure about beer though.
 
My experience is limited (just made my 11 batch yesterday, a guiness draught clone), but I did not experienced any bad smells during brewing so far, quite opposite.

Mashing and boiling produces nice grainy/bready smell with some citrusy/earthy notes from hops. I heard that some yeast strains are producing weird smells during fermentation, but so far ones I used (US-05, S-04, M42 and WLP004) produced mostly a yeasty smell which I found nice.

The bigger problems are mess made during brewing and occupying stove for many hours. And of course buckets with fermenting beer ;)

Sore all over, push ups becoming fun. 24 reps is two mins under tension.
From now on, I'll train on alternating days.

Squats are more and more hellish, 3mins of TUT. Second set, last minute,
my legs were literally wobbling and I was almost falling back on my butt.

Decided not to push first two sets of push ups too hard until the third
one will not be about the same level. Otherwise I'd end up repeating a
nearly limit number of reps in the first two sets for too long.

I did not intent to suffer anymore and smashed two sets of fifties already today.
I think my in-between-sets rest was like 15 minutes. I'd like to cheerfully scream
"yaaaayy" but I am still out of breath after half an hour or so.

Those pull ups are finally startig to feel stronger and going ahead.
