Hello Strongfirst Family!
Just wanted to share my success in a recent program.
Back in November; while I was going through a hypertrophy cycle I decided to add Pull Ups into my regimen. There was no specific order to the pull up regimen as I would sometimes do them before my workout, after my workout or some other time throughout the day, but it consisted of the following:
PTTP Format (100% 5RM, then 90% 5RM)
Every day I would add 2.5 lbs to my first Set (started with Body weight)
I made sure I would pause between every rep and hang before attempting the next rep
Recently I completed my Hypertrophy Cycle and switched over to Easy Strength where I would now incorporate the pulls up, so I did a quick test of my maxes before starting easy strength.
At this point I had worked up to 70 lbs in the program. My current max was 88 lbs 1RM, but I absolutely crushed my max by 18 lbs as I performed a 1 Rep Pull Up with 106 lbs. I was ecstatic!
Anyways, just wanted to share! Thanks!
Andy
