Hey all,
I was wondering how beneficial rest days were during routines like the 40-day program, because there is such a low amount of stress put on the body. I've never felt I've needed to take rest days during such programs, and was thinking that continual practice might be better for my progress.
I'm thinking of doing an experiment where I only take rest days when I feel I need them, instead of having a scheduled one every week. Do you think I'm asking for an injury by trying this out?
Or, if someone can give me a technical answer: what exactly is my body doing during rest days that makes it important that I have them regularly during a low-stress routine?
Cheers,
Josh
