Hello, recently read PTTP and after reading the book and checking online I'm a bit confused as to what the Russian bear program entails exactly. I see some posts stating that you would do deadlift and press the same day 3 times a week, and others stating the Russian bear is one lift a day ie. deadlifts on Monday, press Wednesday and squat on Friday. Just looking for a bit of clarification on what daily programming exactly Pavel recommends for the Russian bear. Thanks!

Pavel has posted that if you want to do the Russian Bear from the book, deadlift 1 time and press 2 times each week. He told one poster who wanted to do squats also that squat 1 time, deadlift 1 time in a week would be OK.

Sounds like a great way to get DOMS.

However if the objective is to add slabs of muscle on those big muscle groups then that will do it.
