Does the Single Arm Floor Press have a carry over to Turkish Get Ups? Especially if one uses a 'bell that is actually heavier than the one used for TGU's?
Doing more Floor Press is great if you want to get stronger at the Floor Press. If you are trying to bump your getup to the next size bell and also want to practice the floor press then try this as a benchmark -
With your current getup size bell, perform 5 floor press + 1 getup + 5 floor press. Do that for 5 sets and when it gets easy, move up to the next size bell.
It's a good idea to have these benchmarks in your program for safety. That way you aren't guessing when to move up or just randomly attempting a PR on a day when you feel good.
