If someone lacks the space and suitable surface needed for the getup but has the space and ability to perform bent presses, will they provide the same restorative and rehabilitative benefits that the getup does? My wife and I have moved in with her mother while we build our house and space is at a premium. This has led to some changes in programming. I do my squat, press and deadlifting with the barbell setup at my fire station every third day and at home I want to do getups but there is no suitable space. Bent presses have felt great and relaxing as a replacement but I'm just curious if they miss anything and how I could resolve that. There is also swings and snatches I am doing at home.
