I saw a video a couple months ago where Pavel talked about a 2 studies where they strength trained runners and cyclists then tested performance measurements. He stated that as we all know their power, strength, max vert all improved, but what mattered to the participants was that their running and cycling times all improved.

Anyone know which studies he was referencing?

I work with several runners and triathletes who for the most part believe they need to strength train as cross-training, but have come across a few who think cross-training is getting on the elliptical instead of running, and maybe if I have some solid scientific evidence they will at least give strength training a try.

Thank you.
