Hi everyone!

Does anybody know if there are any plans for future books about what is covered in the SF courses and events?

There are 1 day courses and multi-day certificates for...
...KBs,
...BB,
...Bodyweight.

And there are the special events...
...SF Resilient (drills for advanced mobility, flexibility, functional strength, and resiliency)
...Strong Endurance (Anti-glycolytic training)
...Plan Strong (programming for strength training)
...Second Wind (Relaxation)
...All-Terrain Conditioning (more in-depth knowledge about Strong Endurance)

As far as I can see the SF shop only sells the KB book S&S that was already available 4-5 years ago. And a DVD on basic lifting technique.

If there are no future plans: is there a way to learn what is covered in those courses without attending one?

I am sure I am not the only one who would be interested in what SF has to offer beyond Simple&Sinister.

Thanks :)

Thank you for the information, @Pavel Macek ! That is very good to know. It looks like SF is very busy with all these seminars. But as someone who got introduced to Pavel Tsatsouline and his work through books it is sad to see so much cool stuff that is only covered in seminars :)

Lots of stuff is going on behind the scene, but for time being...

Pavel and StrongFirst never puts out anything that hasn't ben thoroughly tested (again and again). This means that when it is finally out, it will be something big. Patience. As Craig wrote: "soon".

On the subject of Pavel's older books, Beyond Bodybuilding is something of a frequently overlooked gem: It's a veritable goldmine of excellent information on all manner of strength training and I would recommend it highly to anyone who needs some quality material to tide them over while they're waiting for the next SF book.

Thanks for the reminder, Chris. This one´s missing in my "strong" collection.

I couldn't find the new book on Amazon Kindle. Is it because I couldn't find it or because it's not there? If it's not there, is it coming there? If so, do you have an ETA?

I keep trying to buy the book from the site store but get this error:

error: edited [Admin]

I was getting the same error occasionally when looking at articles on the site, but I didn't worry too much about it. I tried to buy from the store using both my computer and my phone trying both opera browser and chrome browser. I turned off ad blocking and everything else I could think of but continue getting the same error.

This is probably not the best place to post this, but I did not know where else.

Thanks for letting us know. We hadn’t encountered that issue during testing. We’ve advised our web master.

Because of the large number of tables, we chose to release the PDF first. We want to ensure Kindle can render them properly.

It is more of a long article with lots of pictures and charts. I am not saying it is bad just that if you want to buy/read the PDF it won't take you very long to read.

Is the new book tailored towards a specific level of athlete or hobbyist? Plenty of the previous books have been written with the novice in mind - and nothing wrong with that. But what is the target audience of this book like?

StrongFirst Publishes "Reload" by Fabio Zonin and Pavel Tsatsouline

If you'll forgive a bit of a "koan" here, I will ask: Is S&S written with a particular audience in mind?

I would argue that S&S is a generalist program. But seeing the content of the new book, it seems to be mostly comprised of the powerlifts. Therefore, I see it natural to ask if the book has programs for the specialist, a competitive powerlifter, or not.

So to make a comparison: the S&S "is not a program to maximize... ...performance in a particular event." Is there a program in the new book to maximize performance in a powelifting competition?

@Antti, the book's focus is on cyclic powerlifting programs, and specifically mentions some of the great powerlifters of the last few decades, observing that what the book teaches is what _they_ did, but broken down with a few simple tests so that everyone can adapt powerlifting cycling for themselves, regardless of their level.

I would say the purpose of the book is to eliminate errors in cyclic PL programming - it goes over how to increase weights by the proper amount, how long a cycle should be, and similar concerns. I would say its goal is to improve strength through cyclic powerlifting training, whether or not one competes, but knowing that this strategy did and does work very well for competitors, too.

I know assistance exercise is discussed, but I haven't finished reading so I can't say what it says on that subject, other than that it gives a choice to use it or not.
