Ladies and gents,

I was wondering if some one could explain or point me to a video of the standard for the handstand push-up that is taught at the SFB.

Thank you,

Tommy Gray

Tom, I do not know if we have a video. Minimal arching, a controlled descent, the crown of the head touches the deck softly, full lockout on the top.

elbows locked during kickup, beforr and in between reps

the back is not hyperextended

abs and glutes must be tight

controlled descent..

Just typing from the top of my head as I don't have my SFB manual with me...

Thank you for the direction, out of interest is there a reason for a touch of the crown of the head? I find that I naturally look the ground as I am descending ( I will now change to lead down with the crown of my head rather than face)

Tom, in a free handstand pushup you have to come down nose first for balance. In a wall supported one it just encourages back hyperextension.
