Hey everybody,

I have looked around a bit but could not find a proper solution for my issue: I feel pain/stress in the lower part of my right thumb, in the area between wrist and "thumb knuckle". A first guess is, that there is too much pressure on the tendon.
Right now I am looking for a good tutorial for proper get-up grips, normally when I try to turn the wrist a little more inwards, as recommended in the book, the pain gets a little worse. I have no problems with my left hand.
I want to trial and error with grip options before seeking medical help.
Thank you in advance for your replies and advices!

@Nils92 Welcome to the StrongFirst forum! Taking a look at how you're holding the bell sounds like the place to start.

Could you take a couple of photographs of your grip so we can see if there's anything that could be adjusted there?

Goblet squats can aggravate some people's thumbs. There were some threads on that in the past. Seems like competition style bells were a factor.
