I recently started the two handed kettle bell swing and TGU's and referenced S&S. My psoas is tight and creating back pain. I get some relief from soft tissue work with a ball pressed into the psoas. I feel like my KB swing mechanics are good. What do I need to consider to alleviate this pain?
Hi Jeff,
could there be an underlying problem or does the pain just came up?
What helped me and still helps when I have a similar pain: always warming up and doing some stretches like the yoga camel pose and warriors. I can really recommend the stretching dvd by M. Lauren (can I say it or is it too advertising?). I feel like his program helped my mobility and aims at the muscles used when swinging and bluldering.
Just my two cents!
Hope you get rid of the pain asap!

Jeff,
Where are you located?
Let's see if we can find an SFG in your area and if we can find a medical pro to clear your back
Might be the psoas and it might not
