10.5. 2016 variety
I went old school, Arthur Saxon style today.
6x1 per arm snatch/overhead swing 40 kg dumbbell.
5x iron cross holds 2x24 kg.
Last exercise is best described by picture. Was only able
to move 16kg, 5 lifts per arm.
24.5. 2016 variety
I told myself to skip variety days this week because volume
ramps up again but those hunks of iron already have a strong
grip on me.
AMAP oasw in 5 mins, 32 kg, S&S style: 80 reps.
I really believe that working through ROP will get me to
simple goal of S&S as a side effect. Awesome.
An off day today...and so I am lifting.
C&P w/ 42 kg dumbbell (the most I can load it), 3 x1 per side.
On my way towards my goal: 5x(1,2,3,4,5) C&Ps w/ Beast (48 kg bell).
How was the MP as opposed to the C&P in regards to the "stored tension" from the Clean? Did you feel like you needed to keep things a little tighter coming into the rack from each press? Were you able to generate any "stored tension" from the downward motion of each press?
I ask because I have been doing MP instead of C&P for all presses for more than a week; it has been an interesting journey in tension.
