Rome wasn't built in a day.

I tell these to my co-workers when they say they want to start working out. I always remind them that the fit people were not born that way, they have worked at it. They all started somewhere. You are starting where you are now.

I even told one person that lacks self-confidence badly, to google bodyweight exercises, including a visit to this great site, for ideas. Then, I told him, to pick a few and start doing them every morning. In the 2 weeks he will be on vacation, he will be in a better place than he is now. His eyes lit up like I just solved the meaning of life.
