Will waiter presses improve my military press 1 rep max?

Been working this year through the rop, currently at 24kg with the presses and doing pull ups with extra 10kg.

Been hoping to nail the 32kg press by christmas. Tried to waiter press the 24kg... failed miserably. Will the extra stability work involved in the waiter press help bring my MP up? That's what I am hoping anyway...?

I've found the waiters press helps one learn to keep a vertical forearm while pressing the KB, as well as pushing through the heels of the hand.Very much like the bottoms up press

Thanks for the input. Appreciate it, especially considering who the comments came from :)

My MP is a very similar groove to the waiter press (i tend not to externally rotate overly when pressing, its more of a half rotate) so I will let you know how I get on. Will make the waiter press the main staple of my pressing until just shy of Xmas.

Mark, I do find the shoulder girdle and tricep in general seem to work harder in the waiter and bottoms up.
