Day 3
I'm peeing like a racehorse.
My sweet tooth has been barking all day.
I continue to ignore it (the sweet tooth, not the pee).

I'm working out of town until Friday. Lucky for me, I'm traveling in my car. I brought my meat with me. Here's what's in my mini fridge. Eggs on the top shelf. Bacon and chuck roast on the 2nd. Prosciutto, cheese, butter, water on the 3rd.

About the fibre, depends on the person. My body is a little goes a long way kind of deal. Some fibre is good. I start to approach the 35g recommendation and I feel like i have concrete in my bowels. Same thing with things like prunes. Some people can eat 5 or more in a sitting for a few days and it is no big deal. I do that, and it ain't pretty.

So I am intrigued by this for sure.

This has been another episode of TMI.

I've read that a lot of the nutrition is found in the organ meats like liver. Is that part of the plan?
If I find organ meats on a menu, I'll eat it for sure. As for cooking it at home, I don't think I'm good enough of a cook. I'm still surprised when I make tasty steaks (so is my husband).

Let's talk about bodily functions! I can still pee on demand, where is all this pee coming from? Last night I had to get up 3X to pee. I usually sleep through the night. All is quite on the poop front, no #2 as of today.

POOP UPDATE.....Day 5 was the day! 'Nuff said....

Day 4

I feel fine physically. I completed a fasted 30 min interval run this morning. This afternoon I did a quick KB session of 76 snatches, 24 swings and 5 push ups.

The problem is my brain. I'm in a epic battle with my sweet tooth. It's not an issue of hunger. I eat when I get hungry. Call it craving, habit, addiction, whatever. I want a cupcake dammit!

I'm glad I'm working out of town. It's 5pm and I'm in my PJs. The only food in my mini fridge is chuck roast, bacon, eggs and cheese. I'm not putting on regular clothes, getting in the car, driving to a store and buying carb porn. Sometimes being lazy has it's advantages!

30 min later.....Is it bad to go to bed at 5:30? I'm thinking getting into bed and watching mindless sitcoms might stop the endless thoughts of cookies and brownies assaulting my brain.

Good thing I never dabbled into drugs, I would never be able to quit.

Boy do I hear that Lori!

I fight the battle with my sweet tooth daily as well. I can hold it at bay for about 5 days then I cave.... it is hard with kids and the chocolate is everywhere in my house. Damn it! Stay strong.
I read an article yesterday that said the best way to beat it is cold turkey and lots of water and sleep.... maybe a 5:30 bedtime is not that crazy! o_O

Spend your 'free' time doing FS, SJ, RIS, OS and any number of other restoratives. Go for a walk?

Thanks for the support @Strong Rick and @offwidth !

It's 7:22 and I'm officially over the cravings hump. I took a shower and ate the rest of my chuck roast and bacon, with an egg on top.

Since I'm eating zero sugar, it's easy to predict when my cravings begin and end. My time frame is 4-7 pm. My hope is that, as time goes on, they'll diminish. If not, at least I know if I can distract myself until 7 pm, I'll be back on track.

Day 5

I'm cautiously optimistic that my sugar cravings have diminished. Today wasn't a struggle.

Looking back on all my diet experiments, Paleo, LCHF, vegan, vegetarian, keto, etc, all of them could include some type of desserts. On Paleo, I could have honey. Vegan diets eat fruit. Keto desserts can be made with xylitol and other no carb sugar substitutes.

Besides fasting, this is the only diet where there is no wiggle room. It's very black and white. Unless I consider bacon a dessert, I am not eating dessert. Stripping my diet down shines a spotlight on when and how long my cravings last. I knew I have a sweet tooth but I am surprised at how intense it can be. It's illuminating but a bit distressing.

I had planned on reporting what I eat everyday. Problem is, my food is becoming very repetitious. I ate chuck roast for 3 days! Maybe I'll include a food log every couple days or so.

I was driving most of the day. I packed my cooler with ham slices, boiled eggs and cheddar cheese slices. When I stopped to stretch and pee (pee is getting back to normal, thank goodness), I ate some ham and cheese rollups. It's deli meat Thursday!

@LoriLifts- This a great log! I've been dying laughing for the last 30 minutes. Something to help with the sugar cravings I've used is mix sugar free pudding mix with heavy cream and unsweetend almond milk. Whip for 2 minutes and let it set for 30. Within the hour you have a craving buster. Hope it helps, it works great for me and my kids.
