‘Country’ pie, steamed carrots and mashed potatoes with gravy. It’s all vegan but you omnivores out there can pretend it’s a meat pie if you prefer.

I’m given to understand that savoury pies aren’t widely available stateside. If that’s true it’s rather a shame, although apple and cherry pies do make mighty fine desserts.

Pre pull-ups practice pre-S&S breakfast of champions.....tea/milk, 1-1/2 bananas with homemade yoghurt sweetened with Stevia, "ancient grains" seed mix, toasted almonds and cinnamon on top, orange, toast and honey.20201226_075104.jpg20201226_075624.jpg Avoided a second breakfast of some of yesterday's debauchery (our tradition of me making homemade Christmas morning cinnamon buns lol)

Cooking touches a soft spot in my soul. My grandmother who I was really close with (even took her to Italy for a month before she died) loved the kitchen. Even though she's gone, we still do large family gatherings and make tons of pasta (when safe from COVID of course). My wife and I cook all the time and try new stuff. Here is a stuffed eggplant we made a few weeks ago
