My doorway pullup bar is not high enough for me to perform a pullup according to SFB standards -- my knees need to bend.

Are there any recommendations on how to use such a bar? I know that doing it right would be best, but my simple mind thinks that there is a way to use this bar that is better than not doing any pull-ups at all.

Obviously, I can do a pull-up with bent knees, I was just wondering if there are any specific recommendations for body position in this case.
