About to jump into making kefir at home and for my starter I'd like to find a strain with as much biodiversity as possible.

Does anyone have a lead on where to get live kefir grain that is known to have a high number of bacteria and yeast species?

Thanks

@bradleyheathhays, welcome to the StrongFirst forum.

There are lots of reviews to read on amazon.com and elsewhere about people's results with various source of kefir grains. I'd start there. You can also ask question on a product's web page, a feature I've used many times.

Thanks for the advice Steve. Found a guy named Dom (in Australia I believe) who says his culture is from a combination of something like 15 live kefir cultures he's encountered in the past. For now his strain is probably the most diverse culture I've found.

Anyone else with advice?
