Came across this article today and wanted to discuss work:rest ratios a little.
Ignoring Football's Work-Rest Ratios Is Holding You Back

I found it interesting to see such short work efforts of 5 seconds and long rest periods of 10-15 times that. Often 1:3-5 or so seems more common. A+A or HIRT extends that ratio closer toward 1:10 or so.

I prefer sets of 5 swings every minute (~1:10) over Sets of 10 (~1:5). I've even been using ratios as long as 1:30-60 for high intensity repeats using active recovery that seem to work for their purpose.
