Hi all,

I got an interesting 10-week squat strength cycle from an experienced lifter buddy. Over the 10 weeks reps start at 8 and work gradually down to heavy doubles. Each workout consists of 6 sets: 3 warm-up sets, the 4th set is the heaviest and sets 5 and 6 are cool down sets. I normally do warm-up sets, then the heavy sets and that's it for the day.

How many of you have followed something like this and what kind of results did you see?

Thanks!

Sounds like a simple enough linear cycle. I wouldn't skimp on the backoff sets, though, unless you have a good reason for doing so.

Also, even if I followed the exact same routine, my results could be very different from yours... just saying.

Good luck with the program!
