I know you aren't strongman specialists but i will ask it anyway:
Does any of you know anything about strongmen from 1995 to 2005, related to their training (training plan, gym numbers/records, favorite exercises, any anecdotes) ? I'm particularly interested about Janne Virtanen, Juha-Matti Räsänen, Torbjörn Samuelsson (brother of Magnus), Phil Pfister.

There's this about Pudzianowski. I saw this posted several years ago and thought it was interesting then. Lot's of high rep work, but that likely makes sense since strongman places lots of emphasis on strength endurance. I would call this "anecdotal." Not sure these guys would ever release their official training plans so I would take all of this with a grain of salt.

I'd say run Google searches on your favorite strongman competitors and see what you get.

There's a nice Jouko Ahola strongman training video on Youtube. It's over half an hour long and it's in Finnish with English subtitles. As you're interested in a couple of other Finnish strongmen from the same era, there could be something for you.

I think @Geoff Chafe has done some strongman competing and training. My very limited knowledge would be summed up saying 2/3 training powerlifts, 1/3 event and medley training.
