My sister combined pistols with single leg deadlifts (like, all one motion) & said its improved her agility when playing soccer. Can anyone tell me the science behind this?
Single-leg deadlifts will improve many other skills, both in lifting and outside lifting - it is IMHO one of the often forgotten and neglected exercises.
I enjoy doing it not very heavily loaded. I consider this move as a very good stability and mobility drill. It works well combined with Hackenschmidt squats, and bent arm bars.
