Lauryn Conlon

profilephoto01-0013700000IxNYtAANGrowing up in Canada it is not a surprise that I spent my athletic carrier playing ice hockey. During my undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, I was a member of the women's varsity hockey team. This is when my interest in strength and conditioning really took off. After my degree at Ottawa I continued on to the University of Guelph for a Human Nutrition degree. Here I began sharing my training knowledge with clients and training at a big 'box' gym. Everything changed when I was introduced to the kettlebell.

My partner and I visited Louka Kurcer in Montreal and he shifted our training perspective by introducing us to the StrongFirst principals. Since that introduction we have achieved level one and two SFG and opened our own training studio where we focus on teaching clients movement skills.

The kettlebell has taught me strength I didn't have as a varsity athlete. My strength journey continues with patience, consistency and focus on movement quality.
