David DrakeDavid Drake has been a personal trainer since 1996, when he graduated from Furman University with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science. In 2000, David Drake was named Charleston’s best personal trainer in the Charleston City Paper. David strives to optimize the full mental, physical, and chemical (nutritional) potential of each client. His focus on holistic healing and wellness allows each client to explore and choose his or her own unique path to reaching their fitness goals. David’s vision is to help his clients shift beyond fitness by first, rediscovering proper movement and developing functional strength.

David is a true master of his craft and has set up a really special gym space. I love the people and the environment in the small group classes. The classes are very effective and educational, as David spends individual time with each person to address your personal goals and work around your injuries. He's given me a new understanding of what movement and fitness can and should be, and as an ex-D1 athlete having to face that I can't workout like I used to, David has been imperative in giving me the tools and movement patterns to be strong mentally and physically in this new chapter.

My wife and I have been working out with David for nearly a decade. He is absolutely the BEST there is. He knows how to push you just the right amount, never too much. , He makes training fun, and varied enough you never get bored. I used to hate working out in the gym, but no more, given David's method. And he's done a great job of building a community with his classes that feels great. Thank you, David!
