Dustin RippetoeDustin has a long history as a kettlebell instructor. He has been consistently training with kettlebells since 2004 and has been a certified kettlebell instructor under Pavel Tsatsouline since April of 2006. First with Pavel’s RKC and now proudly with StrongFirst. He has had the honor of serving as Team Leader in both organizations and actively promotes StrongFirst training methodologies.
Notably, Dustin has been certified for over 12 years with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT), and more recently as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) and has presented at NSCA Oklahoma State Clinics. Dustin was a devoted martial artist (Baguazhang Kung Fu, primarily) before stepping into the personal training and strength world. This background grants him a unique insight into human movement and coaching. He pairs this vantage point with a well-developed understanding of Functional Movement Systems (FMS) related technologies to pinpoint areas of concern and provide a direct targeted approach to improving fundamental movement and thus athletic performance.
Although Dustin is still available for strength workshops/courses and SFG prep programs his private engagements have shifted in tone and scope. He is now working devotedly as a Gallup-Certified Strengths coach focused on serving health and wellness entrepreneurs. What...? He helps small business owners and mid-career professionals navigate stress, build optimal lifestyles and live closer to their growing edge using a talent/strengths-based assessment. With more than 20 years of experience in wellness education, executive leadership and small business ownership, Dustin brings a wealth of practical knowledge to his coaching work. Dustin’s MBA (Healthcare Specialization) studies at Oklahoma Christian University as well as his apprenticeship to the International Coaching Federation (ICF) through the Human Potential Institute (HPI) buttressed his practical “in-the-trenches” experience as a nationally recognized strength and conditioning educator, and small business owner.
Dustin lives in Tulsa with his wife of near two decades and young son. The dialysis and medical visits needed to manage his end-stage kidney disease currently dominate his hours not coaching. Dustin uses this time to hone his determination, practice patience and refine his coaching craft. He may be reached through his website, dustinrippetoe.com or through the link on this page.

I was lucky enough to find Dustin fairly soon after he moved to Tulsa. I was looking for a trainer certified with Strongfirst and he had just happened to move here. Dustin is a great coach with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. I am a physical therapist and his sessions have helped me develop new exercises for my patients as well as for myself. I was really missing kettlebells after moving here from Ca, but he has helped me get right back into it and has been an amazing motivator!

Dustin is one of the original Leaders I looked up to while gaining my experience with kettlebells. He is what I envision that all instructors should be; Strong, humble, smart and skilled. He has probably has more experience than most of the people in leadership with using a kettle bell. I am also honored to call him a friend
