What does one do with that?
Safety Squat Bar

The weight is shifted forward with a high bar rack, working the legs similar to a Front Squat.

The handles allow you to hold on to the bar when squatting.

The forwarding of the handles, counter balances the bar so that it sit on your back without having to hold on to the bar without it falling off your back.

Thus, if you hit a sticking point in the Squat, you can grab the Rack and assist in getting up with the weight.'

Can we have a bit more of an education for me on these bars? As I look more closely, the Marrs bar and the Safety Squat bar seem a little different. Is the Marrs bar more for front squats and the other for back squats?

Thanks.

Hey Steve, the Marrs bar mimics a low bar squat unlike most ssb's. It can be used for front squats as well.

I think you forgot one of the bigger features you can do with one.

The Marr's Bar and Safety Squat Bar are the same.

As in my initial post, "The weight is shifted forward with a high bar rack, working the legs similar to a Front Squat."

The Marr's/Safety Squat Bar have a High Bar Rack position.

The weight, as you can see if shifted forward. Thus, place a greater load on the Quads; working the legs in a similar way to a Front Squat.

Thanks, everyone. I just replied to someone privately but I'll state it here, too - I really am just curious about these gadgets so that I know what people are talking about the next time the subject comes up, but I have no interest in or plans to use one. I'm able to squat any way I want to with a regular bar and, so far as I'm able to see into my own future, it doesn't include one of these.

(The lawn mower video is frightening - people can lose their toes doing stunts like that.)

Not the same. Not even a little
