I read the article on the difference between strong Endurance and Quick and the Dead?

A+A:
. Makes your aerobic energy system better so you can run for ages
. Makes your alactacid energy system better-what does this mean?

Q+D(not for beginners):
. Makes you have more power
. Makes your glycolitic energy system better-what does this mean?

Is Q+D necessary if you do A+A?

Is A+A necessary if you do Q+D?

Or do you need both for cardiovascular endurance?

@Weight, welcome to the StrongFirst forum.

Have you read this article? From "Simple" to Serious Endurance | StrongFirst - it has a great graphic and accompanying explanation of the three energy systems. The Q&D book does, also.

"Cardiovascular endurance" can mean a lot of things. Rather than discuss them in the abstract, perhaps you might share with us a bit about yourself in terms of training history, plus your current training and your current goals for yourself. Then we can discuss what things might be most useful to you.
