Hi,

Sorry for the duplicate post but I messed up the title on the first one and didn't find the edit post button.

Any of you had gallbladder surgery?

How did this impact your performance, eating habits and general well being on the long run?

I am asking here because I am interested in the experience of people who do physical activity.

Thank you.

Hello Butch,

I had my gallbladder removed two years ago.

I began a 5/3/1 cycle 14 days after surgery.  On that day, chin-ups hurt my abdomen.  Two days later, I was able to do chin-ups without pain.  Otherwise, my training was not affected.

I did not change my eating habits.  About two months after surgery, I began having GI issues (as is common with this surgery) in the morning .  This stopped after about a year (I do not remember the exact dates).  My doctor explained that my intestines adapted to the bile.

Currently, I feel no different than before the surgery (except I no longer pass stones).

Hope this helps.
