I just got a 60kg Girya, and I'm thinking "will I ever be able to snatch clean this much?" Is it unsafe? Can I work my way up to it or is it an unsafe weight snatch clean period?
Well, both are doable given a steady progression from where ever you are now until you achieve the lifts with the 60kg. The Clean will likely come first. The intelligent way is to work on those moves with your current bell weight until you can do 10x10, then move up to the next weight and repeat until you get to the 60. To answer your question "is it safe?" The obvious answer is NO if you are currently working with much lighter bells. The answer is Yes if you gradually work up to the 60.
