Hello all,

Just a quick question - at the top of a swing are you meant to fully lock your knees? It's what I've always done but when training today I didn't completely lock out and my knees didn't creak like they usually do.

Thanks

Think its extend don't hyperextend as usual. Pulling up kneecaps does it for me.

Thank you Rickard. Could you please clarify what you mean by pulling up kneecaps? I've seen it written before and never known what it means. Does it mean to contract your quads? Thanks again.

Mate... I have to be totally serious with you and tell you that I don't know that much of anatomy and I have no clue about what really happends when I pull upp my knee caps. But it's what I do and it seems to do the trick... Hoping someone better than me chimes in here!

Yes, contract quads. Think of pulling the quads up rather than shoving your knees back. I'll also add that really cramping the glutes ensures that my legs are doing the right things.
