I knocked small bit of paint off the flat side of a grey, hammer tone coat style kettlebell. I just wanted to know what you guys typically patch up small nicks with. I know people sand them down and refinish them all the time but this is just one small nick. I just want to keep it from rusting and flaking more.

I had Ader KB's that had a few chips. I used some of my wife's gray finger nail polish to fill in the chips.

Second the nail polish.

If this is one of those super smooth handles then J-B Weld might be a good solution - it can be polished with sand paper to keep the handle smooth.
