Old Forum RoP Variety Days/Grippers

Hi all.

I posted a few weeks ago about S&S. I'd reached the simple standard and was started to work in the 40kg.
I'm no longer a member of the gym so no longer have access to the 40kg or space to do Getups at home. This doesn't bother me as I was ready a change. I've started the RoP with the 24kg after practicing cleans, presses and snatches.
I'd like some feedback about these ideas for variety days.

1. Just stretch.
2. Stretch and gtg with CoC grippers.
3. Gtg pistols.
4. Gtg pistols AND grippers.
5. Start working on some of the drills from Taming The Bent Press.

What does everyone think?

Ben, experiment.  It's nice to use variety days for things you feel you need, e.g., for me, I love the kettlebell windmill and don't often find a way to incorporate it into my regular training, so I try to do a few on variety days.  It's a stretch and a lift but I keep the weight light to moderate most of the time.  Tamer's drills would be perfect, e.g., the bent arm bar.

I don't think this is a one-size-fits-all sort of thing.

I don't want to overtax myself but the bent press is something I'd love to be able to do...I'll explore and take it easy.
