During the past few months I have mostly trained LCCJs + Step Ups, with very low volume strength work.
My approach to strength training has been quite simple:
Today I tried a more difficult version, a former 2 TRM, and I actually got 8 perfect reps on both sides!
In essence I have done only 20-50 easy reps per week for something like 5 months.
Of course, you might argue that this is really slow progress, but then again this is just a side dish for me, and also easy to recover from. Therefore I didn't expect any type of progress. I credit neural strength + shoulder and trunk stability from LCCJ and Step Ups.
My approach to strength training has been quite simple:
- Goblet Squats: 3x3 , 2x per week (easy warmup)
- GUs: 2x1 TGUs, 2x per week (easy warmup)
- One Arm Pushup regression (OAP): 5-15 reps (total) in sets of 3-5 reps, 2-4x per week
