REVIEWS FOR TATEKI MATSUDA

I highly recommend working Tateki to an athlete of any level.

I'm AMAZED at how well Tateki could coach over Zoom, I hope to work with him in person one day. He is clearly a world-class athlete who loves everything about the human body and its potential for performance: his enthusiasm is motivating and his knowledge is inspiring. He is energetic yet calm, knowledgable but humble, a professional fighter with a gentle touch.

I thought I was getting quite strong with kettlebells and was on track to reach the Simple Standard in a month or two. Given my athletic history I was getting a bit cocky. When I showed him my swing and getup, he immediately found issues that would have likely lead to injuries: I still am stunned he could see small details over zoom. He has given me homework and pages of notes I wrote down after our first session.

Lastly, Tateki has also clearly invested in his space and equipment to be maximally effective over zoom. His eye to detail extends beyond the kettlebells, and I definitely appreciated that.

Tateki is a great instructor who can convey the principles very well through explanations, demos and feedback. He also ties the KB work into martial arts, other exercises and core biomechanic principles in a way that makes everything make so much more sense. It's highly helpful and also very enjoyable to work with Tataki.
