Due to a lack of throwing events this year, I have signed up for my first powerlifting meet. However, I now have to have procedure done that will prohibit me to train for a week. If you were designing a 7 week PS program, would you take a week away from the Prep or the Comp cycle?
 
If your health is your biggest concern I would do four weeks of prep and three weeks of comp. If performance is your biggest concern, I would switch those.

Thanks, Steve. Health is good, the procedure is cosmetic, removing a cyst. So performance is the bigger concern. So 4 weeks for comp sounds good.
