I know there are a few guys here who follow GS training. I'm interested in learning more about Sergey Merkullin's training, specifically the "Merkullin Pyramid". Merkullin does time ladders of long cycle, doing 1m, 2m, 3m, 4m, 4m, 3m, 2m, 1m with one minute rest between sets. I did this today with 2x18k @ 6rpm for volume. How does Merkullin program this in his training? Anyone know how this fits into his overall training? I've tried Google, but have not found anything beyond the basic protocol.
