Hello Everyone. I would like to try doing ladders with 32kg bell (I am able to do at least 5 each side) in the way described in ROP - from 3x3 to 5x5. Reason is, I simply urge to pick some fresh routine for upperbody strenght, that would let me feel like I kept progressing. That would be  in addition to Geoff Neupert's swings routine (as described in "How to Get Good at Programming").

I just want to make sure that this is a good excercise for ladders, because I suppose, not every excercise is.

Btw, which muscles should I expect to develop if I about to train this way?

I hope You can offer me for some clarification on that one.

Don't know about others, but I've had success with (1,2,3), (2,3,2), (3,4,3) type ladders. Ladders of (1,2,3,4,5) just took too long. Expect your hips and shoulders to get stronger, and your whole body feeling more solid, as opposed to simply specific muscles getting stronger.

At a medium weight, this is a good bent press practice. You will move better and be stronger  if you do it. It does take a while to complete the reps though....
