Background: Play tennis and cycle as well as swing kettlebells. Work as a Chemistry teacher. Family of wife and three kids, two eldest having left for Uni. 57 years young.
Aims: Would love to get to "Simple" one day, but 32kg TGU is some way off.
18th September
2 hour cycle, average HR 125 (70% max), peak HR 140. Was cycling with friends so didn't track HR as I went along; 125 is a bit above MAF but hey-ho, company was good.
Did 3 sets of GTG presses with left arm. Resting right arm as have sore wrist (tendonitis). 19th September 2021
Played 2 hours tennis. HRV was below average so didn't practice kb's.
20th September, 2021
Still resting right wrist, so worked with left handed lifts only. Did swings and Jerks, alternating, a la 015. Warmed up with standard S&S warm up.
6 sets of swings, 10 reps, 24kg, 28kg, 28, 24, 24, 24.
6 Sets Jerks, 5 reps, all with 24kg.
Started sets when HR~110 (~60%), Last few sets, HR was peaking at 130ish so last 2 sets did 8 reps swings and 4 reps Jerks to keep HR <130.
Took 20 mins.
