Old Forum Focusing on Getups, GTG?

I've just recently started Getups and am hooked; simply love them.

I've looked, but haven't seen anyone discussing GTG with getups.

Is GTG not a good way to train with Getups?

Would working with different weights on different set of getups be efficient, for instance:

1) partial getups with a heavier KB

2) full getups with "normal" weight KB

3) getups with press with a lighter KB

I'd like to practice my getups a lot, but don't want to overtrain and be counterproductive.

I used Justa's singles routine with Get-Ups for 4 weeks and went from a dodgy 32kg to a solid 40kg. Not exactly GTG but it is a daily program.

I find it difficult to overtrain the Get-Up, but resting when necessary is always a good idea.

You could try varying your Get-Ups but I would stick to the same size kb until it became easy working with it. I would also retread Naked Warrior and reacquaint myself with the GTG protocol.
