OK guys, this is the first video I've ever put online. For each swing video, I do five reps straight-on, and five to the side. For the TGU, I only got one angle; hopefully good enough. My 13-year old daughter recorded these.

I can see right now in the 1-hand swings, it looks like my shoulder is dipping. It doesn't feel like it, but I can see it. I don't know if it's a shoulder packing issue, or a twisting issue.

2-hand swing - <a title="http://youtu.be/8BeBCtQXNac" href="http://youtu.be/8BeBCtQXNac">http://youtu.be/8BeBCtQXNac</a>

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Jason

Swing: remember neck must not bob up on the downswing

Getuo. From tall sit remember to emphasize coming down to elbow

Biggest things I notice on your swings:

1. Rooting/balance: You do a lot of rocking back on your heels, especially on your 2-arm swing. Your feet should be strongly rooted to the ground and your weight should be balanced over the foot. "Weight on heels" is a cue to help you stay balanced and not get pulled forward or get too squatty, but ideally you want to be balanced evenly over the foot and maintain that balance throughout the motion.

2. On your 1-arm swing, you could definitely get your hips back further. You do a better job getting your hips back on your 2-arm swing.

I like the way you make solid contact between your wrist and your hips.  That is something I need to improve on.

Thanks for all of the replies.

I'm not sure about the neck bobbing. I feel like I'm just looking forward, which is what I thought I was supposed to do. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

Regarding rocking back on my heels; I feel like that's what naturally happens when I push my hips back. I've noticed I don't do it all the time though, so it's something I can work on.

And about needing to get my hips back further on the 1-handed swings, I can see that, and actually feel it too. But I always feel like going back farther will make me fall backward. I'm not sure how to tweak my balance to make that work. I'll pay more attention to that.

And thanks Jeffrey - I guess I'm doing that right! Got to be careful though, it doesn't take too hard of a hit to make things, um, uncomfortable.
